My nephews post a bit too much, and usually it's a million links. I hide that. I was in a fight with my uncle and I hide him and blocked him from my stuff. (childish, but I was pissed!) I hide people's stuff when I get tired of their political views, overposting or inappropriate sharing.
Absolutely! I have a couple relatives that just post stupid shit, and I have no time to read it, so I unsuscribe (which isn't the same as unfriending).
