Summertime

Summer has arrived in Southwest College Town. This past weekend we took Wild Man to the splash pad, and he had lots of fun. In fact, we had to forcibly take him away from the fountains as he was visibly shivering but didn't want to stop playing. Looking at these pictures made me smile so much that I wanted to share them.

Have I mentioned recently how much I love my child?

*Poof! These photos have disappeared.

It appears we have a couple things in common. Wild Man shares Luke's toddler physique (soak it in while you can, because it'll be gone before you know it) and, like these, it's pretty rare for us [me] to get a shot of Luke without some portion of Gabe in the frame. Another characteristic of Steve-esque men: very attentive fathers!

Jennie--Wild Man's body has already changed so much from the chubby baby body it was. In fact, C recently commented to me "He's so long and lean!" In comparison to other kids his age, Wild Man is not long and lean, but in comparison to his baby body, he is, in fact, a tall drink of water!

And I love my Steve-esque husband!

Oh, I got to see them!! Yes YES YES!!!

He's the cutest!! And I always think it's fun to see how much these young ones love water. I have similar pictures of Linton at Sea World.

You know, people have been saying to us lately that Luke is so tall now. Actually, he's still in the 10th percentile for height. But I think since he's lost a lot (not all) of his baby chub he just looks taller to everybody (relative to the little hulk he used to be). Before, they were probably distracted by all of his rolls...for instance, there used to be three between his knuckles and elbows. And two ON (not above) his knees!
